“Damian Joseph Norman” who is known as “252 Lico” and now owner of his own record company which goes by the name of “Therealdreel Inc Records”. Was born in New Bern, NC,  but was raised in a small town by the name of “Pamlico County, North Carolina”. This local Hip-Hop artist managed to build himself a buzz coming from such a small town with no support and no opportunities.

Starting at age sixteen, “Lico” began writing songs and doing whatever he could to potentially gain fans and to start a career as a hip hop artist. Since the start of his career “Lico” has been nominated twice for best male hip hop artist at the Carolina Music Awards. Well known for the release of his single featuring “Da Baby” by the name of “Just Want”, Reaching 100k views on YouTube an over 50k streams on Spotify “Lico” continues to show why his music should stand out. He eventually found himself working with artist such as “Stunna4vegas”, “Project Pat”, “Ralo” and more. He has also done opening performances for “21 Savage”, “Rich Homie Quan”, “Luke Nasty” and many more. With the release of his new album “Who Want It” which was just recently released in January of 2020, has over 54k streams in just over 3 weeks. “Lico” doesn’t seem to want to slow down anytime soon and continues to want to take his career to the next level.

Growing up in a very poor area with a lot of crime and violence, Lico was pretty much always getting into trouble with the law. After graduation Lico found himself in an out of Pamlico and Craven County Correctional Facilities, an afterward Lico ended up spending 5 years on probation. During his probation Lico began to start rapping and writing music whenever he had the time, and with whatever resources he could use. Lico was always passionate about music, starting from when he was only the age of 4 years old Lico would sing in the church choir with his mother every Sunday at church. With Lico growing up in the early 2000 era of the music scene It seems he took the likes of Lil Wayne, 50 Cent, and Eminem. In 2017, 252 Lico began releasing tracks on SoundCloud the other platforms to expand his fan base. His first successful single he released was a song called “ballin”. The song got over 145k views on YouTube.
