Alpha Sophia has announced that, as of January 1, 2024, its Growth Plan pricing structure will be changing. In order to better accommodate its esteemed clientele’s usage habits, Alpha Sophia will now have three users by default and a yearly cost of $4,800. Additional users of the platform will continue to pay the same $240 per year. Alpha Sophia are pleased to provide small and expanding companies with a cost-effective commercial intelligence software solution for healthcare at a high level of performance.

According to a press release, Encellin has closed a $9.9 million funding round. The company has developed an Encapsulated Cell Replacement Therapy (EnCRT) to isolate therapeutic cells from the body’s immune system and help therapeutic cells survive in the body.

According to Encellin’s website, the technology was developed in the lab of Dr. Tejal Desai at the University of California, San Francisco.

According to the announcement, Encellin aims to show that the porous EnCRT’s ability for cells to exchange biomolecules with the body after implantation will have a therapeutic benefit and serve as a living medicine.

A Phase 1 clinical trial will proceed with the additional funding. Next year should see the release of first-in-human data from the Phase 1 study. The funding will also go toward growing the team and advancing the technological platform.

CalmWave is now available in the AWS Marketplace. It uses artificial intelligence to improve nursing staff retention and lessen alarm fatigue in hospitals. As per a press release, customers can locate, purchase, and utilize specific software and services that are compatible with Amazon Web Services through the carefully curated online software store.

Essential AI has completed a $56.5 million Series A funding round with the goal of strengthening human-computer collaboration. An announcement stated that AMD, Franklin Venture Partners, Google, KB Investment, NVIDIA, and Thrive Capital were among the investors in the round led by March Capital.

A total of approximately $65 million in funding has been raised by Essential AI thus far, including a $8.3 million seed funding round led by Thrive Capital and participation from investors Amjad Masad, Brad Gerstner, Conviction, Elad Gil, Francis D’Souza, David Patraeus, Gustavo Sapoznik, Jamie Montgomery, and Mei Zuo.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention report that between 2020 and 2021, the maternal mortality rate in the United States increased by 40%.

The program is divided into three sections: reducing the frequency of complications related to maternal health; assisting women in the year following delivery; and promoting access to routine prenatal care in order to detect and address possible risk factors sooner.
