Nvidia and Microsoft have started a GenAI accelerator for entrepreneurs in the UK

In collaboration with chipmaker Nvidia, Microsoft has announced the launch of its GenAI Accelerator, which will provide UK companies with the tools, know-how, and assistance they require to scale their generative AI solutions.

The Microsoft GenAI Accelerator, which will run from January 22 to March 5, 2025, is intended for UK entrepreneurs who have obtained seed money and are prepared to “take their products to the next level.”

Companies that are investigating ways to enhance people’s lives, generate employment, and have a major economic impact are specifically sought after by the initiative.

Microsoft revealed its 2025 AI Accelerator initiative.

It is intended that the Accelerator’s hybrid approach, which combines online and in-person elements, will increase accessibility and assist businesses from all around the UK, not simply those with strong ties to London and the South East.

In an effort to secure further funding, Microsoft will arrange a “Demo Day” at the conclusion of the program where participants can present their goods to private equity and venture capital firms.

“By supporting local AI start-ups and providing them with the resources they need to succeed, Microsoft and our partners are helping to build a vibrant and sustainable AI community in the UK and create the tech powerhouses of tomorrow,” commented Darren Hardman, Microsoft UK CEO.

Startups chosen for the program will get one-on-one coaching from Nvidia and Github professionals in addition to one-on-one meetings with Microsoft’s AI “Black Belt” experts in AI and ML.

“Start-ups will be able to accelerate their AI development and enhance performance by using NVIDIA’s accelerated computing platform,” said Serge Palaric, vice president for Hyperscaler Alliance at Nvidia in EMEA.

Applications are being accepted through November 22. Shortlisting will start on December 9.
