Vineet, tell us something about yourself?
That is an existentialist question. But to cut a long story short, I am a global child. Born and raised in 6 different countries and studied in more than 10 schools throughout the world, I have had a very interesting time growing up. The journey made me a greedy person. Greedy not material wise but as someone who wants to experience as much as possible in this finite life. This same ‘seeker’ attitude, made me a journalist. Although I studied to be in the corporate world, it did not challenge the ‘seeker’ in me. So here I am.

I
am not at liberty to answer this question right now. The channel will
make its mark soon and the world will know how different we are from the
rest.
What is the need for a new News Channel in today’s time?
News has become very linear, biased, partisan and cacophonous. The medium is meant to educate, inform, inspire and caution people. But what it is doing right now is the complete opposite. News has become intimidating, agenda oriented, one-sided and convenient. It is time for a change.
What’s your day like as an executive editor?
My
day is very hectic. I spend my time planning shows. Hosting shows.
reviewing shows and educating myself on a daily basis on topics I am not
fully familiar with. I also try and come up with new ideas to create a
sense of novelty on TV.
Finally, what advice do you have for young people?
Don’t stress too much. Life happens for you and not to you. There is immense potential in everyone and all you have to do is to activate that inner voice to be positive. And there are no shortcuts. Hard work always pays.
Love & Peace
