Range-topping A110S produces 288bhp and is available to reserve now
Alpine has launched the A110S, amore powerful version of its A110 sports car. The Alpine A110S has 288bhp, an expansion of 39bhp over the standard model. Reservations for the new car are open now, with UK deals formally beginning before the end of 2019.
when the A110S goes on sale later this year, it’ll cost €66,500 (just shy of £60,000), and will rival the Porsche 718 Cayman S, Toyota Supra and Alfa Romeo 4C.

The increased intensity of the A110S still leaves it trailing the 296bhp of the standard Porsche 718 Cayman yet the Alpine is a featherweight in correlation, weighing simply 1,114kg. That makes the A110S practically 300kg lighter than the Porsche. Thus, it doesn’t require as much power for similar performance.
While Alpine hasn’t uncovered performance figures, we expect a comparative 0-62mph time to the Porsche’s 4.2 seconds; the standard A110 as of now finishes the run in 4.5 seconds. Just as more power, Alpine has made improvements to the taking care of and frame, which were already very impressive.
Alpine has left the car’s svelte styling basically unaltered; a somewhat extraordinary identification between the window and back windscreen is one of the main clues at the A110S’ additional power. There are new amalgam wheel designs and dark Alpine logos on the front wings however the remainder of the retro-inspired design is left as it was.
In spite of its light weight, the Alpine is still very well equipped. The inside highlights seats cut in cowhide and Alcantara softened cowhide texture, and there are extravagances like LED daytime running lights, cruise control and a seven-inch touchscreen with sat nav, DAB radio and smartphone compatibility.
Sébastien Erphelin, Alpine’s Managing Director, said: “From the very inception of the Alpine project it has been our intention to offer different versions of the A110 with handling and performance characteristics of their own.”
