Bridgetown Research, a startup focused on artificial intelligence, announced on Wednesday that it had raised $19 million in a funding round headed by Accel and Lightspeed Venture Partners, with involvement from a top research university.
The Seattle-based business was valued at $250 million in the Series A investment round, a person with knowledge of the situation told Reuters.
Bridgetown Research creates AI agents that collect confidential information from experts and customer surveys, in contrast to the majority of AI solutions that concentrate on searching and summarizing information using large language models (LLMs).
In order to help executives and investors make strategic decisions, these agents examine the data to find trends and produce insights. With the most recent fundraising effort, Bridgetown intends to make additional investments in educating AI agents or bots to carry out a wider range of analyses and improve access to industry-specific intelligence via collaborations.
The business has grown to offer a wider range of market research services after initially concentrating on assessing private equity deals.
Harsh Sahai, who was the engagement manager at McKinsey & Co. and managed machine learning teams at the e-commerce behemoth Amazon.com, created the firm.
