BYD Denza Unveils Z9GT Interior Details; Formal Launch Anticipated At Year-end

Denza, BYD’s premium brand (HKG: 1211, OTCMKTS: BYDDY), has announced interior details for the Z9GT, a new model set to go on sale at the end of the year.

According to a video released today by Denza, the Denza Z9GT includes three front screens: a horizontal center screen, an instrument screen, and a screen for the front passenger.

It boasts an on-board refrigerator in both the front and rear, which is becoming increasingly important to car manufacturers in the competitive Chinese electric vehicle (EV) market.

Denza’s video also showcases the Z9GT’s seats and audio specifications, which are likely to be one of the model’s main selling factors.

“D-class smart luxury flagship GT, redefining the standard of luxury,” Zhao Changjiang, general manager of Denza’s sales business, wrote on Weibo today.

Denza’s luxury flagship sedan model, the Z9GT, made its debut at the Beijing car show in late April. Denza earlier stated that the vehicle would be officially launched at the end of the year.

Denza’s latest sharing comes as inside information about the Z9GT were recently leaked, with Zhao describing the leaked photographs as low quality.

According to a regulatory filing from April, the Z9GT measures 5,180 mm in length, 1,990 mm in width, and 1,500/1,480 mm in height, with a 3,125 mm wheelbase.

The automobile will be built on BYD’s e3 technology, and the engine will have three electric motors with peak power of 230 kW, 240 kW, and 240 kW, Denza previously stated.

With up to over 1,000 horsepower, the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than three seconds.

BYD’s ultra-luxury Yangwang brand debuted e⁴ technology on January 5, 2023. The powertrain has over 1,000 horsepower and a quad-motor independent drive system.

The Z9GT, which is powered by e3 technology, can complete a moose test at speeds of up to 85 km/h, according to Denza.
