More flights were canceled to Brisbane, Adelaide and Hobart.

In a statement, Jetstar said a “large number” of their frontline laborers were having to test and isolate as COVID-19 close contacts in Sydney and Melbourne, constraining a few “late adjustments”.
“We appreciate the frustration this causes, especially as customers are traveling for Christmas, and sincerely apologize for the impact these changes are having on travel plans,” the statement read.
“We are working to minimize any delays and re-accommodating passengers on flights as close as possible to their original departure times across both Jetstar and Qantas services.”
Virgin Australia is additionally reported to have rolled out certain improvements to its schedule.
The two airlines let 9News know that they reached all travelers on Thursday night at the most recent and were getting them on free substitution flights.
