Copilot is now available in Power BI Mobile apps, according to a Microsoft announcement today. Users can create report summaries and insights using Copilot in Power BI, enabling them to make data-driven choices while they’re on the go. For instance, customers can obtain an executive summary of the most recent report with only one swipe.
The new Copilot button will appear in the report’s header if a report satisfies Power BI’s Copilot standards. To ask Copilot for a summary or to gain insights into their report, users can tap the button to launch the Copilot pane.
Users can begin exploring their data by selecting “Summarize the entire report.” Users can tap on data references in the Copilot-generated summary to view the pertinent graphics in greater detail. They can dive down or up further for more information because the graphics are interactive. The reference list, which contains all of the cited images together with the pertinent names and URLs, can be accessed by tapping on the references icon.
To make it easier for users to explore further, Copilot also shows suggested prompts at the bottom of the screen. Prompt recommendations like ‘Find insights’, summary edits like ‘Make it formal’ or ‘Make it shorter’, and more will be sent to users. By hitting the Refresh button, users can receive various recommendations.
Using the Copy button, users can distribute the Copilot-generated summary to other people. A link to the report is also included when a summary is copied, enabling the receiver to view more information by clicking on the link and viewing the report.
Microsoft wants to enable users to view and analyze data from any location at any time using Copilot in Power BI Mobile. The business hopes that this improvement will be a major step in making data more usable and accessible to anyone. Microsoft claims to have plans to enhance Copilot’s functionality in the future so that users may utilize Power BI to extract more value from their data.
