It is not just the Government and other authorities taking steps to tackle the dreadful situation that has occurred due to COVID – 19 worldwide. In fact, the corporates are doing their parts responsibly.
Today, KCS Technologies, a division of Kapil Group – A conglomerate of 40 companies has also posted a video on Coronavirus titled “HOW TO PROTECT YOURSELF FROM CORONAVIRUS (COVID 19)” to make people aware of the virus and preventive measures.
We spoke to Venkata Kiran Amruthavaakkula, CEO, KCS Technologies Inc. regarding the video. Mr. Venkata Kiran, said in a statement, “Corporates need to play their role and help spread more and more awareness about the virus. As it is the social responsibility of each organization to contribute to society in their own capacity.”
Speaking about the arrangements made in KCS Technologies Inc., HR Head, Subbalakshmi Chathala said, “We have arranged Sanitizers in our office, started serving Lemon Water to our employees and to the clients coming for meetings. Besides, we are conducting Awareness Sessions to educate our employees so that they can further educate their family and neighbours.”
“Our idea is not only to spread awareness and educate people about the virus, but also we want people to not panic about the situation,” said Subbalakshmi.
We also got to speak to Head Operations of KCS Technologies Inc., R Bharath about the video. Bharath in a statement said, “We are strictly following Telangana Government Guidelines and taking all the precautions very seriously to make sure that our workplace and surroundings are safe for everyone.”
Many schools and educational institutes are already closed until March 31st, 2020. Even some organizations have asked their employees to work from home in the wake of coronavirus. Airports are well-equipped so that people exposed to the virus can immediately be taken to isolation.
On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also represented India in a video-conference, which was attended by the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) member nations. The meeting that was held via video conference was to promote the World Health Organization’s advice to avoid public gatherings, to chalk out a strong common strategy to fight COVID-19 in the region and to control and monitor the Covid-19 outbreak.
During a press conference, the US President, Donald Trump has declared a national emergency on Friday. He said, “To unleash the full power of the federal government I am officially declaring a national emergency.” This declaration will “open up access” to federal funds — some $50 billion — to fight COVID-19.”
Of course, the situation is dire; so all of us need to get united and do whatever we could do to spread awareness to fight this alarming situation. Kudos KCS Technologies Inc.
