Dreams Update For Pixel Phones Running Android 15 is now available on Google Play

Android 15 will provide a new Home Controls screensaver for Pixel devices. The Dreams app powers that experience, and Google recently released an upgrade for Pixel phones running Android 15 via the Play Store.

In order to power the Hub Mode screensavers, which include Weather Frog, full-screen clocks, and Google Photos, “Dreams” was originally introduced for the Pixel Tablet in 2023.

Google unveiled the “Home Controls” screensaver with Android 15 (released in Beta 3), which is essentially the Home controls user interface accessible via your lockscreen or the Quick Settings Tile. It works especially well with the Pixel Tablet, making those controls always visible while docked.

Pixel 15 Android phones can also use this Home Controls screensaver. Along with the old Clock, Colors, and Photos, you can locate Screen Saver by going to Settings app > Display & touch > Screen saver. Consequently, phones now have access to the Dreams app, which drives this experience.

Google exclusively updated the Dreams app for Pixel tablets until yesterday, when it offered an update for Pixel phones running Android 15. There aren’t any updates that directly affect users.

When your phone is charging on the Pixel Stand, the Dreams app is now also powering the Google Photos slideshow.
