First Startup Class Celebrated by Central Texas Tech Hub

Cedar Park Plug and Play aims to establish Central Texas as the world’s center for sophisticated manufacturing. By uniting Fortune 500 corporations with startups, Plug and Play seeks to promote innovation.

The first round of 16 startups in the program graduated recently, and they were all celebrated. With over 362 introductions made for these businesses, the outcomes have been remarkable, with ten pilot projects and millions of dollars in revenue for the entrepreneurs as a result.

Two of the businesses in this batch have received investments from Plug and Play, which is evidence of the robustness of the Texas ecosystem. Together, these businesses have raised more than $19 million since February.

Solideon, a robotics startup that converts off-the-shelf robotics into autonomous micro-factories, is one of the noteworthy businesses. Thanks to Plug and Play opening doors, Solideon has already met with major corporations like Raytheon, Booz Allen, and the Air Force.

Serving on Plug and Play’s strategic advisory board, Raytheon’s Director of Army Modernization and Strategic Engagements emphasized the importance of their collaboration in identifying cutting-edge innovations and connecting with future game-changers.
