First Wear OS 5 Upgrade Since Its Release is Received by The Galaxy Watch 7 and Watch Ultra

After becoming on sale to the general public last week, the Galaxy Watch 7 and Watch Ultra are now receiving updates. The most recent upgrades improve stability and include minor bug fixes.

Update 8/5: Droid Life has made One UI 6 for the Galaxy Watch Ultra and Galaxy Watch 7 available in the United States. The rollout for owners of both devices is about to begin. The goal of this update is to increase device stability. It appears to have a slightly different file size in the US and a changelog that places greater emphasis on stability.

Samsung is now running One UI 6 on Wear OS 5 for the Watch 7 and Watch Ultra. The One UI 6 beta can be downloaded and installed on versions older than those models, but with the advent of the newest smartphones, it is expected that the stable version will eventually make its way to the Galaxy Watch 4, 5, and 6.

Updates for the Galaxy Watch 7 and Watch Ultra have begun to arrive days after their release. For the Watch 7, the latest version is referred to as L310XXU1AXG2, while for the Galaxy Watch Ultra, it is L705FXXU1AXFB (source: SamMobile). If the setting is enabled, there’s a chance your device has updated automatically.

By opening the Galaxy Wearables app and navigating to the bottom of the Watch settings page, users may verify for themselves. The watch may look for the most recent version of the software by hitting the update button. This section will also provide access to the most recent version.

The typical security update style of the changelog leaves a lot to the reader’s imagination. The brief mention of bug fixes and performance optimization suggests that only little adjustments have been done to improve the experience for a brand-new device.

Given that the Galaxy Watch 7 retails for $299 and the Watch Ultra for $649, a capable software version is obviously required. This is a user-friendly update rather than a sign of a malfunctioning operating system right out of the box.

The way Samsung’s wearables manage exercises and health-tracking data has changed a little with the new version. Users should be receiving the latest update shortly.
