Over the weekend, there was a little but significant upgrade for Google Chat. The search engine behemoth said that users can now choose to receive notifications for every communication in a Google Chat zone.
Especially made for crucial talks in which you wish to receive notifications as soon as a new message is uploaded. Thus, a new “notify all” option for in-line threaded spaces in Google Chat is available for talks that demand a lot of attention.
You must choose the new option if you wish to receive notifications whenever there is a new message in the space as it is not activated by default. It’s crucial to note that if you choose this option, notifications for all @mentions, threads you follow, and even threads you don’t follow, will be sent to you.
Following the upgrade, the following options in the notification settings will be updated: Every, Principal talks, For you, and Remark. When you click the three dots next to a space name, be sure to update your notification preferences by choosing a notification option from the Notification settings menu.
In the next two weeks, this new functionality will be available to Android users; on May 21, iOS users should begin to see it.
