After introducing Gemini summaries to its Chat app, Google is now releasing a new upgrade that makes it simpler for users to locate what they need without ever leaving the app’s home view.
Google Chat is currently getting a new split pane in the home view. Without leaving Google Chat’s home display, users can reply straight to a space, group, or direct message using the split pane.
The split window should appear with the chat as soon as you click on a message to utilize the new feature. Just click the expand symbol in the chat header to view a particular conversation in full screen.
Furthermore, Google states that if you wish to fully enable or disable opening conversations in the split pane, you can toggle the split pane mode in the home header.
Google Chat customers who are enrolled in the Rapid Release domains will begin to see the new split pane in the home view as of right now, according to the Mountain View company. The goal is to finish the deployment by November 29.
The upgraded app won’t be available to the remaining Google Chat customers until at least December 4. In any case, the new feature should be available to everyone by December 19, so if you’re a devoted Google Chat user, keep an eye out for a new update.
In relation to that, Google declared that all Google Workspace users and subscribers to Workspace Individual will have access to the new functionality.
