Google is attempting to simplify Gemini menus and options by combining them

It appears like Google will be combining all of the confusing menus and buttons in Gemini for Android into a single menu in the future for convenience and simplicity.

Google Assistant is currently being replaced by Gemini, which brings AI intelligence. This shift isn’t easy for some people, though. Since Gemini and generative AI in general are very young technologies, they are developing quickly, changing frequently, and gaining new capabilities.

Compared to the basic Google Assistant, Gemini has so many new features that it is now somewhat difficult to use.

Google is attempting to streamline the AI assistant’s menus and settings, according to clues discovered by the Android Authority team in the Google app’s code (version 15.46.36).

Currently, Gemini’s response may be long-pressed to reveal options like “Export to Docs,” “Create public link,” and more. Pressing the three-dot menu button at the bottom right of the response also opens a second menu with options like Select text, Modify response, and more. Additionally, you can use the buttons in the bottom row to rate responses.

Given how Gemini is always changing, it makes reasonable that users could be unsure of the location of a certain option.

A single menu with all the options could be displayed in Gemini in a future release. In essence, you could access this new menu by using the three-dot menu or by long-pressing on the response. The rating button will be located there, along with post-response options like Export to Docs and Create public link.

The Google app does not currently have this update live. When the public will be able to access this change is currently unknown.
