Google releases an AI iPhone app

Google’s Gemini app, which offers a new voice-based feature called Gemini Live, was released on the Apple App Store. The tool represents the most recent development in voice assistant technology and is intended to facilitate natural conversations. Apple’s intentions to incorporate ChatGPT from OpenAI into Siri demonstrate the increasing level of competition in the market.

Google’s answer to ChatGPT by OpenAI is called Gemini, and it was first released as Bard in 2023. Now improved with features like Gemini Live, the app seeks to facilitate a variety of tasks like creative brainstorming, travel advice, and interview preparation. Android users will have early access to it when it was announced in August.

The software demonstrates developments in AI-powered voice assistants that outperform earlier models such as Google Assistant, Apple’s Siri, and Amazon Alexa. Following cutbacks within its Voice Assistant team earlier this year, Google decommissioned its older Assistant, which was an eight-year-old product. These modifications are a component of larger initiatives to optimize operations.

Additionally, Google reorganized its AI efforts by combining the Gemini app team into its research department, DeepMind. DeepMind is dedicated to enhancing AI capabilities while resolving issues related to conventional model extension. Google is now at the forefront of next-generation AI technologies because to these advancements.
