Google’s Gemini AI Has Upgraded to a Quicker Version of Flash

A recent update to Google’s Gemini 1.5 Flash AI model will enable the chatbot to process more content in prompts and answer to you faster.

Amar Subramanya, vice president of engineering at Gemini, states in a blog post that the 1.5 Flash update brings “across-the-board improvements in quality and latency, with especially noticeable improvements in reasoning and image understanding.” According to Subramanya, Gemini’s context window—the quantity of text segments that an AI model can process concurrently—is likewise being tripled to 32K tokens.

1.5 Flash, which was unveiled at Google I/O in May, is now accessible in the web and mobile free version of Gemini, according to Subramanya.

A few other Gemini-related announcements are also being made by Google. Starting today, the business will provide links to relevant content in Gemini for “fact-seeking prompts” to assist you in finding factual information on subjects you’re researching, according to Subramanya. A gray arrow at the end of each paragraph indicates which links are visible.

Furthermore, users in the UK, Switzerland, and the European Economic Area will be able to access Gemini “gradually” on Google Messages. Additionally, Gemini for Teens will launch “in the coming week” in more than 40 languages.
