What was your background before you went into entrepreneurship?
I was born in the Bronx, NY and grew up in Maryland. In middle school I got into wrestling, eventually becoming a state champion and earning a D1 athletic scholarship. I suffered from a back injury due to my athletic career and really had to hone my mindset to overcome it.
What made you decide to become an entrepreneur?
I’d just bought a home and was raising a newborn when I lost my job unexpectedly. Worrying about how I’d pay the bills made me decide to never rely on anyone else for a paycheck. I dove into starting my own companies and never looked back.
What traits of yours do you think most contributed to your success?
I’m highly driven, extremely competitive, a team-builder, and I take initiative. I’m not afraid to take on new challenges.
