The second cohort of the renowned six-week program, Converge 2, has begun, according to the OpenAI Startup Fund. The OpenAI Startup Fund was established with the belief that powerful AI systems on the horizon will usher in a revolutionary wave of startups that will play a critical role in enhancing human creativity. Its mission is to advance the field of applied AI in important domains.
OpenAI launched the startup fund’s first phase in November 2022 with the goal of assisting companies and aspirant founders developing cutting-edge artificial intelligence products. It invested $1 million in each of the 12 startups selected from the applicant pool. The program’s success is demonstrated by the growing capacities of AI models and the declining expenses related to creating new AI products; OpenAI claims that this is just the beginning of the AI revolution.
For Converge 2, OpenAI is currently accepting applications. The six-week program, which is aimed at engineers, designers, researchers, and product builders who are using AI to reimagine the world, promises a rich experience that includes tech talks, office hours, social events, and talks with top business executives.
Teams that take part will receive a $1 million investment from the OpenAI Startup Fund, giving them access to a vibrant network of innovators who share their values. Applying is highly encouraged for founders with a range of backgrounds and levels of experience; OpenAI is especially excited about receiving applications from underrepresented groups and foreign nationals.
Those who are interested are encouraged to submit their forms before the deadline on Friday, January 26, 2024, in order to expedite the application process.
