They say when a person decides to fulfil their personal goals or desires in life, they may or may not get success in the same, but when a person decides to fulfill a much bigger goal in life which consists the betterment of people at large, such individuals can create milestones in their careers. The medical profession is already a very respectable field where doctors are known as life saviours, but how many of the times have we heard stories about doctors or surgeons who push mankind further with their public service initiatives as well? Getting graduated from the Jordan University of Science and Technology and completing his education from the university in Australia, he became a general surgeon and did his residency program at the Royal Medical Services Hospitals, Arab board. Today, apart from the excellent general surgeon that he is, Dr Zaid Al-Samkari also hosts his original medical series named TikTALK, which serves as a one of a kind medical program. The concept of the medical series is also very innovative where people are challenged with medical questions to assess their knowledge regarding taboo topics and misconceptions, and Dr Zaid Al-Samkari also clears their doubts on the sets. With every season of his show, he shoots eight episodes and tries to demystify many medical topics and content and move ahead in his aim to spread medical awareness.

The level of medical content that Dr Zaid Al-Samkari provides on his social media platforms have attracted many towards him and gained him the trustworthiness from people and many institutions as well. His contents have crossed more than 100 million views across platforms. So far, he has earned nearly 1 million followers on Instagram and TikTok combined. His work and initiatives have been featured on many Jordanian newspapers and have been called for multiple appearances on BBC, Jordan TV and Al Mamlaka TV station.

‘Lametkher initiative’ is also something he founded with the aim to work for people with special needs. His work in the same has been recognized by many for which he even received an honorary shield from Amman Municipality.

Dr Zaid Al-Samkari also led a research with medical discovery where he discovered genetic correlation responsible for the occurrence of acute appendicitis disease in patients with positive family history. With this, he has even become the pioneer surgeon in discovering this important surgical correlation that will help in the correct diagnosis of this disease in the future at ER.
