According to The Verge, Instagram has increased the maximum amount of images and videos that can be included in a single carousel post. The maximum number of photos and videos that could be included in a standard grid post has been doubled.

Carousel postings on Instagram let users “photo dump” a bunch of images and videos at once, and their followers may swipe through them all. Instagram feeds and user pages both display multi-image posts.

The increased limit brings Instagram’s picture possibilities closer to those of its rival TikTok, which allows posts with up to 35 photos. Since early this year, Instagram has been experimenting with larger image restrictions.

Users worldwide will soon be able to upload several photos in a single post.
