Now more than ever, everyone is looking for a get-rich-quick scheme that’ll make them a million dollars overnight. Yet, as entrepreneur Jay Awal points out, “If you think you can find your fortune without putting in the necessary hard work, you might as well spend your days looking for that imaginary pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.”
Chasing rainbows is not a pastime that the founder of MxM The Movement recommends, but thinking big and pursuing your goals definitely is. Awal learned at a young age that as long as you’re working for someone else, you’re going in only one direction, and it’s usually signposted – ‘dead-end!’
“If you don’t like the game, it’s up to you to become a real player and change the rules to give yourself the best shot at making it,” explains Awal. Since starting his first company at college, a content creation agency, Awal has become well-versed with precisely what it takes to create, build, and sustain a seven-figure business. He has since advised over 200,000 people across the globe how to make serious money.
When asked, he’ll tell you there’s no great secret to being a runaway success, but he fiercely believes there is a formula and way of thinking you need to adhere to.
“It’s all about training your mind to see opportunities where others see problems,” explained Awal. “There is always money to be made; you just have to apply yourself to the process of making it.”
In Awal’s view, the process involves dedication, a positive mindset, tenacity, resilience, and a whole heap of hard work.
“Being an entrepreneur is not easy, particularly if you come from humble beginnings,” confesses Awal. “When you first set out on the journey, your nearest and dearest will doubt you, and you’ll even doubt yourself. That’s something you need to overcome. Remember who you are doing this for and why. Once you possess a bullet-proof sense of self-belief, there’s a key set of criteria you need to bear in mind when building, and more importantly, maintaining a successful seven-figure business. You need people you can trust and rely on, a strategy that works, an effective brand, values that mean something, and so forth. Yet first and foremost, you need the ambition and the willingness to put in the blood, sweat, and tears. If you’ve got this, you’re on the right track.”
