Both the regular Buds 3 and Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Buds 3 Pro have fresh designs that are very different from the previous iteration. Although there have been prior leaks that support this, fresh real-world photos corroborate the updated look.
According to real-life photos posted by a Reddit user claiming to have actually bought them, the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro will have an entirely new stem design. The identical collection of photos was also shared by well-known leaker Ice Universe. In addition, the retail package for the Galaxy Buds 3 is shown simultaneously in another Instagram picture that has since been removed.
First off, the Reddit user’s photographs appear to be authentic. They display the buds in a metallic gray finish, which is complemented by a transparent charging shell at the top and a matching finish overall.
Even though they still seem exactly like Apple AirPods Pro 2, Samsung seems to have set them apart with subtle adjustments like the complementary charging case, the dual-tone finish, and blue and orange indications for the left and right earbuds.
Connecting the Buds 3 Pro to the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and iPhone appeared to have gone smoothly for users who appear to have gotten their hands on the device.
So far, all I’ve seen are promotional photos and glimpses of the Buds 3 Pro’s design through Samsung applications. That said, these fresh pictures proved to be rather significant just before the Unpacked Event—which is set for July 10 in Paris.
As previously noted, the retail packaging for the Galaxy Buds 3 verifies the new stem design, which is not exclusive to the Pro variant. For both buds, the new stem part represents a major redesign.
Better controls and microphone quality should also be on the horizon, and additional long-pressing actions to control music playing, activate noise cancellation, and much more are anticipated.
