It is no secret that the film industry in the recent years has been overtaken by independent filmmakers and indie films, so much rawness and truth that you just can’t find in feature-length films; and our person of
interest for today is a prime example. Eslam Hozayen is a screenwriter-director who creates visuals and short films exploring the power of the human brain and it’s dark side. Eslam has resided in Minnesota for the past 13 years, he calls it his second home only to follow his birth hometown in Cairo, Egypt. Having developed love for writing and the want to shed awareness on mental heath, the director’s work focuses mainly on exploring the dark power of the human brain; chronic anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, severe ocd, and more. Whatever it is that the brain can do to us, he explores it and presents it in a visual form. His work is highly appreciated by critics in film festivals in the United States, the U.K and India.
