Many musicians have come and gone throughout the years but the ones that stay have changed the sound we hear on the radio today, and Trill Bans has already made his mark. Marko Cervantes also known as Trill Bans, started producing at the young age of 16, uploading type beats on YouTube and creating his melodic beats with thunderous 808s that he is now known for.
Being raised in San Diego, He drew influence listening to Spanish music and incorporated many instruments such as guitar into his production. Trill was inspired to start making music in high school seeing the rise of many successful rappers in what is known as the Soundcloud era.
The breakthrough that came about his senior year was when he first started to work with Hotboii, an emerging rapper hailing from Florida, with singles that showcase both talents such as “Sick of Cell” that features Mobile native Rylo Rodriguez as well as producing on two tracks out of Hotboii’s Kut Da Fan On mixtape. The success of the mixtape launched Trill’s career into the next level when he signed a management deal with Saint Paul, VP of A&R at 100k management, as well as producing more tracks for Hotboii on his following albums Life of a Hotboii released in December of 2021 and Blinded by Death released in July of 2022.
His manager has played a key role in his uprising, providing much needed knowledge as well as managing many aspects of his career including the business in which Trill has been shown to praise. Many musicians would have given up after the drought that 2021 had for Trill but good things happen to those who wait and Trill proved that with his early success in 2022 co-producing alongside producers Hoodrich Keem and 48hours on the track “Same Pain” by Detroit rapper Babyface Ray off of his debut album FACE. March of the same year was proven to be life changing in which he co-produced with Touch of Trent “Computer Murderers,” a single by Chicago music star Lil Durk and was added to his 7220 projects, which has been recently RIAA Certified Gold selling over 500,000 copies.
Trill has now signed to music distribution company, Create Music Group, and is further enhancing his sound for was once his passion which has now turned to his career.Nowadays thousands of music producers are being made every day and branding is more essential to one’s career than ever and Trill has worked on this by being active on many platforms. Alongside his music career, he has amassed a following on the popular social media platform, Tik Tok, amassing over 25,000 followers. On his Tik Toks, he provides many different forms of content such as viral trends with his own music producer twist on it as well as giving advice that he has learned in his years in the industry. In the music industry, music has evolved within time and Trill has caught on early developing his industry sound and now showing the world what he has to offer.
