Elemental, a tale about multiracial relationships, will be available to stream starting on September 13th for Disney Plus customers, according to Disney. Additionally, the business will make available on its streaming service Carl’s Date, an Up-related short film, and Good Chemistry: The Story of Elemental, a making-of documentary for the movie.
In his review for The Verge, our own Charles Pulliam-Moore lauded the movie’s graphics. However, he believed that the racial framing was compromised, maybe as a result of the writers’ attempt to correct the errors of Zootopia as well as the metaphor of the elements as people.
Despite a lacklustre June debut that at first appeared to bode doom for the film, Elemental managed to earn $480 million during its theatrical run, according to Disney, despite having a $200 million budget. Peter Sohn is in charge of directing it, and Kat Likkel, John Hoberg, and Brenda Hsueh wrote the screenplay. Leah Lewis, Mamoudou Athie, Ronnie del Carmen, and Shila Ommi are the leading ladies in Elemental, which also stars Mason Wertheimer, Joe Pera, and Catherine O’Hara.
Disney also said that if you sign up before September 20th, Disney Plus (with advertisements) would cost $1.99 for three months instead of $7.99. Elio, the upcoming Pixar film, will tell the story of a little child who is kidnapped by aliens and later poses as the ruler of Earth. It is scheduled to hit theatres on March 1st, 2024.
