The Rainbow Summer outdoor entertainment series will get back to the grounds of the Marcus Performing Arts Center in July.
The revived series will introduce a mixture of concerts, family-friendly movies and performances on Thursday nights from July 15 through September, as per a statement from Marcus.
A few events will be free; others will have an admission charge. They will be organized at the outdoor Peck Pavilion. Marcus is dealing with moves up to the area, including another LED video wall.
“Rainbow Summer Reimagined gives us a sense of nostalgia — both for those who remember Rainbow Summer from decades ago, as well as those who have been craving this return to normal over the past 16 months,” said Marcus CEO Kendra Whitlock Ingram in the statement.
Performance times and ticket costs will be declared later. The Marcus will post related data at marcuscenter.org/series/rainbow-summer.
The schedule includes:
July 15: MPAC Summer Movie: “Cinderella” (free admission)
July 22: Marc Broussard
