Venture capital firm Telford Ventures, based in North Carolina, raised $30 million at a pre-money evaluation surpassing $280 million to support web3 innovators who are building on the blockchain and to bolster its web3 portfolio in anticipation of the 2024 bull run.
Together with the company’s long-standing strategic partners, existing and institutional investors spearheaded the funding round in an effort to grow the business and get more active in the rapidly developing blockchain sector.
In advance of the impending bull run, the money will be utilized to onboard and expedite up to 50 distinct projects that center on the web3 ecosystem and the open internet.
The venture capital firm owns a varied portfolio that includes web3, real estate, and equities. Mason Merrill, the firm’s managing partner for investments, stated that over time, the company has been making significant bets in the cryptocurrency market by shifting its investments to be more focused on the space.
From now on, Telford Ventures will primarily concentrate on seed or Series A round financing for early-stage blockchain businesses. Well-established initiatives that require capital to develop and grow will also be taken into consideration; these enterprises may choose to invest in equity or tokens.
