On April 14, 2023, the Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection, which includes all ten original Mega Man Battle Network games, will be released.
During its Nintendo Direct Mini earlier this year, Capcom made the Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection available for purchase. In addition to the Switch, it will also be available on PlayStation 4 and PC through Steam.
The Legacy Collection will incorporate all the already exclusive Battle Chips as well as NetBattles for online play. The digital version will be divided into Volumes 1 and 2, which can be purchased separately for $39.99 each, while the full bundle can be pre-ordered for $59.99.
Included in the Legacy Collection are:
Mega Man Battle Network
Mega Man Battle Network 2
Mega Man Battle Network 3 White
Mega Man Battle Network 3 Blue
Mega Man Battle Network 4 Red Sun
Mega Man Battle Network 4 Blue Moon
Mega Man Battle Network 5 Team Protoman
Mega Man Battle Network 5 Team Colonel
Mega Man Battle Network 6 Cybeast Gregar
Mega Man Battle Network 6 Cybeast Falzar
The Collection also has an art gallery, a high-resolution visual filter that can be turned on or off based on your preference, online Chip trading, online PvP and Ranked matches, and a built-in music library with more than 180 tracks.
During the Game Boy Advance and Game Boy DS eras, a spinoff series called Mega Man Battle Network was released. Battle Network games, in contrast to Mega Man’s 2D platforming, were strategy games played on a 3×6 grid where players used a collection of Battle Chips to fight enemies in grid combat. They were quite amazing.
Capcom intends to release the Mega Man NT Warrior anime series on its YouTube and Twitch channels in 2023 as a celebration.
