A full-screen view for task management is a recent addition to Google Calendar, which makes it simpler to prioritize and cross things off your to-do list.
Google revealed that the Android Calendar app now offers a full-screen view of all your projects and incorporates the task management tools of the web version. No matter when a task is due, this update makes it simple to prioritize and keep track of it.
This means that between the Today button and your profile symbol in the Calendar app’s top bar, there is now a new Google Tasks icon. You can browse undated tasks and lists and mark them as completed by tapping it to bring up the home screen of the standalone app.
Before this update, you could use Calendar to manage your to-do list in Tasks. However, the mobile version of the app had a major bug that prevented you from seeing all of your forthcoming tasks in one view. Additionally, it only displayed tasks with due dates; the remaining jobs were buried.
There is less need for the standalone Tasks app now that Google Calendar offers task and list views. However, it remains useful for users who prefer the Tasks widget, which provides easy task creation from the home screen and fast access to lists.
Although this increased integration may feed rumors that Google intends to discontinue Tasks in the future, there is no indication that this will happen anytime soon.
