Why are you obsessed with innovation?

Since I began my first start-up in the late 1990s, I’ve always wanted to make a new service, product, or business. For me, being a pioneer or the first one to create something is more important than being the best in an established field. When I was doing music business, it was about producing something new and exciting for people to hear. S0 in the same way, I want people to be excited about something new that I produce in the world of finance. 

What exciting projects are on the horizon for you/your business?

I’m so excited about our new platforms – “Fundy” and “Investors” – which are launching worldwide this September. These platforms will merge traditional finance and investing with blockchain and allow investors to connect with global opportunities in a way that they never could have imagined. I’ve always believed that the final purpose of technology is to make life better for people, and we want people to invest in a new paradigm.

What has surprised you most about your new project?

I am surprised that no one is trying to merge traditional finance with blockchain technology. There’s no exact same model of what we’re trying to do in the world. It’s understandable because the general opinion on blockchain is not positive. However, we’re excited to revolutionize the industry. With start-ups, there are oftentimes a lot of similar businesses, but this is entirely new. It’s a big opportunity!
